Oversee the provisioning of network equipment and maintaining the overall integrity of the client network infrastructure as it pertains to data and voice - both wired and wireless:
Analyze network traffic at all client facilities, produce statistics related to bandwidth utilization, protocol percentages, etc., and recommends upgrades and/or changes as needed to improve network performance:
Oversees system administration functions related to the support and operation of the client Alcatel-Client Network, both wired and wireless:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or Electronics Engineering preferred, or Electronics Engineering and Telephone Engineering preferred.
- Five years minimum in computer industry, preferably in the hospital or medical field.
- In depth knowledge of networking equipment hardware and software, along with networking monitoring systems.
- 10 years minimum experience in voice communications operations and procedures including traditional PBX and IP Telephony Management and Customer Service.
Certification/Licensure:

Position Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design and implementation of network and voice communications.
- Design and maintain wired and wireless phone networks.
- Make suggestions to end users regarding voice communications software and hardware solutions as part of our Customer Service initiatives.
- Offers support, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure uninterrupted access to all voice telecommunication features, including voicemail, ACD or PBX systems.
- Research and recommend communications vendors.
- Coordinate upgrade schedules with internal and external resources.
- Manage the construction projects for telephones.
- Lead and direct a team to perform these functions.
- Work closely with the network group for IP implementations.
- Work closely with the customer service group for implementation and maintenance of the phone systems.
- Will help in the vendor selection as well as contract negotiations.
- Involved in long range or strategic voice communications plans.
- Plans and oversees hardware and software installations and upgrades in the operation and support of network devices (Switches, Routers, Firewalls, etc.).
- Troubleshoots and resolves network related problems that arise which cannot be resolved by other team members in an effort to troubleshoot and maintain network health. Provides Level III Network support for local and wide area networks and effected users.
- Keeps abreast of new developments and techniques in programming and computer operation using available education resources.
Plan and Implement:
- Oversees and manages the IT portions of all client construction projects, new business acquisitions, building renovations/expansions, etc.
- Meets deadlines that are necessary.
- Spearheads program development and special projects.
- Establish standards for network equipment, network redundancy, and network performance/bandwidth.
- Assist the Communication staff with developing IP telephony standards.
- Assist the server and communication staff with developing unified communications standards.
- Develop and implement the AV strategy for IHN.
- Support the AV initiatives.
Communication and Responsibility:
- Follows through with documenting and closing of incidents in the client IS Help Desk System.
Leadership:
- Oversees and manages the IS Networking, AV and Telephony Teams.
- Encourages and directs other Department resources when needed.
- Sets up meetings where appropriate in conjunction with the staff.
- Identifies need for or writes policies to improve efficiency. Participates in and contributes to the review/revision/development of standards. Establish policies associated with network security.
- Oversees the development and maintenance of local network and systems documentation.
- Adheres to all IS Business Practices.
- Assist with security investigations as requested.

- Responsible for end-user connectivity to all client network resources from all facilities: local and remote VPN connections.
- Participate with the development of the LAN/WAN portions of the client Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Evaluate current and future network needs at client and assist the Technology Director with planning IT strategies for future growth.
