Purpose: The Director, Mergers, Acquisitions and Integration combines comprehensive technical knowledge and analytical ability with strong interpersonal skills to manage sensitive, highly visible Mergers, Acquisitions & Integration work. Prepares and analyzes complex financial and operational analyses for potential mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. Manages both large, complex deals as well as smaller deals. Partners with the JFL finance team, outside diligence providers, and Crystal Clean management team across all functions to assess acquisition opportunities, lead due diligence efforts and coordinate acquisition integration activities. Additionally, collaborates with executive leadership to form and facilitate value creation plans and measuring performance of such plans for their respective lines of business, ensuring that the company maximizes the potential of its acquisitions and investments.

Responsibilities:
- Conducts market research and analyzes financial and strategic merits of companies in the environmental industry. Also works closely with Crystal Clean management to identify acquisition opportunities.
- Partners with senior leadership to develop and implement value creation plans specific to their lines of business that capitalize on acquisition synergies and ensures alignment with overall company strategy and growth objectives.
- Makes recommendations to senior management and private equity ownership regarding which targets to pursue and why.
- Negotiates purchase transaction terms with ownership of target companies.
- Responsible for leading all M&A projects alongside JFL deal team via performing critical financial and operational analyses for potential mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
- Performs financial analysis and modeling.
- Prepares and presents executive briefings on strategic opportunities including strategic fit, valuation and deal structure.
- Manages all acquisition projects alongside JFL deal team and related work streams of various complexities and scope. Communicates project opportunities and constraints to senior management while monitoring project status.
- Drives the project management of transactions, including initial valuations, due diligence, senior management meetings and post-deal integration.
- Leads the post-deal integration process by ensuring seamless coordination between all departments involved (finance, operations, HR, IT, legal, etc.) to align the acquired company with Crystal Clean's business model and corporate strategy.

Core Competencies
- Experience in successfully negotiating M&A transactions
- Corporate financial, investment banking, M&A or investment experience preferred.
- Strong Excel and financial modeling required. Experience in other related software is a plus.
- Must be a self-motivated strategic thinker who is able to work under pressure and act quickly with limited information provided.
- Demonstrated strong, effective and clear presentation and communication capabilities are required. PowerPoint skills required.
- Experience initiating and leading projects, and ability to work with senior managers and key stakeholders both on the buyer and seller side of a transaction.
- Environmental industry experience preferred.
- Ability to travel on short notice
- A minimum of 10 years of financial related experience, including a minimum of 5 years` experience in financial and valuation analysis.
- Environmental industry experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree required. Preferably in the areas of Finance or Accounting.
- Advanced degree, preferred.
