As a Nutley, NJ hybrid position, the candidate will be expected to be on site 2 days a week per company policy.
This position has the primary responsibility of managing the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program (MDRP) and reconciling the Medicaid claims. This position will also assist the Government Pricing Team with any Pricing calculations and GP Projects.
Essential Functions
- Administration and management of all Medicaid programs that includes URA calcs and updates to line extensions. Ensures data in the Medicaid system reflects the contract terms for accurate processing.
- Process high volume state Medicaid claims within tight timeframes to avoid late payments. Identifying and properly disputing invoicing errors if any. Responsible for maintaining accurate records of outstanding disputes.
- Act as company liaison, negotiating with the States Medicaid agencies regarding dispute resolutions.
- Analyze performance of Medicaid programs and gather trends on the state invoices
- Assist with audit requests for the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program (rebates & calculations)
- Stay up to date and applies knowledge of the Medicaid Rebate & Government Pricing policy changes to process improvements and systems.
- Responsible for quarterly analytical reports and models, utilizing the ModelN data, to accurately assist GTN forecasts and accruals.
- Co-develop training plans for any new analyst/consultant that joins the Medicaid area.
- Performs Medicaid and Govt Pricing system testing to ensure proper function when any upgrades are completed.
- Assist with calculating of AMP, BP and URAs as required.
- Prepare and submit “Pricing” reports to states.
- Participate in Medicaid contract review sessions with field and market access representatives.
- Foster and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree required; relevant experience may be substituted for degree considered
- A minimum of six (6) years of related experience (financial analysis, Medicaid, and government pricing reporting)
- Knowledge of the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program (MDRP)
- Knowledge of Government Pricing Calculations is desirable.
- Experience using ModelN Medicaid system is desirable.
- Analytical & strategic thinker capable of identifying both the depth and breadth of data required to accurately answer questions.
- Effective communicator, persuasive in support of conclusions
- Builds and maintains relationships with internal stakeholders to build an understanding of business objectives
- Self-motivator who seeks to improve accuracy and efficiency
