About the Job
The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for the development and supervision of all communications strategies for the Nordson ICS Division. This individual will oversee the development of goals, strategies, and implementation plans to execute comprehensive marketing campaigns. The incumbent will promote the creation, enhancement, and development of programs to promote the Nordson ICS Division products and its services. Some marketing goals will include maintaining the brand integrity of the ICS Division and strategically positioning the division as a trusted source for knowledge while establishing the ICS division status as an industry leader. The Marketing Communications Manager will also oversee the launch and managing of new products, services, and associated brands to meet profitability goals and targets
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing and executing a results-driven, multi-platform communications strategy and plan in line with corporate and brand direction while reflecting divisional priorities
- Creating and managing all marketing materials and collateral in line with brand direction
- Implementing online marketing activities including social media, SEO/SEM, demand generation, lead generation, etc.
- Tracking effectiveness of various campaigns and course corrections as required
- Managing communications spend and working with vendors and agencies to create and/or localize communications and marketing activities and develop supporting assets
- Leading the planning and implementation of PR and initiatives related to the brand
- Collaborate with other teams to identify the public voice of the Nordson brand
- Create style guides and brand voice outlines for all public relations, marketing, advertising and other vital departments
- Consult with executive management to develop communication procedures and policies for various situations or crises
- Draft press releases and speeches following organizational news
- Write letters, interdepartmental memos and other business correspondence
- Communicate with media outlets and journalists and create press kits
- Develop materials to educate staff on communication practices
- Perform communications research and monitor the progress of various communications strategies
- Creating marketing presentations for stakeholder
Education and Experience Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree required
Preferred Skills and Abilities
- Exceptional communication abilities, including writing, speaking and active listening
- In-depth knowledge of best writing and messaging practices for business correspondence, public relations, advertising, marketing and sales copy and social media
- Ability to effectively engage with multinational team members of all levels and across departments
- Great project management skills, including goal-setting, multitasking, budget management and prioritization
- Good data analysis, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Leadership abilities, including training and mentorship
- Ability to establish strong relationships with a variety of customers and partners in commercializing new products, including contract negotiation and go-to-market plans
- Proficiency with a CRM system
