Manager, IT Infrastructure
Headquarters is in Santa Clara, CA. Must be onsite minimum of 3 days a week
SI-BONE® is focused on helping patients in one of the most under-served, under-diagnosed, and under-treated areas in orthopedics, the sacroiliac (SI) joint. SI-BONE developed an innovative, patented implant to fuse the SI joint. The iFuse Implant System® provides a less invasive alternative to traditional sacroiliac (SI) joint fusion surgery and has been used in over 90,000 procedures to date.

General Responsibilities:
The Manager, IT Infrastructure & Security is pivotal in managing and optimizing the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security, and efficiency across all systems. This includes comprehensive oversight of cybersecurity, network administration, and system administration. The role demands strategic planning, effective project management, and hands-on technical expertise to ensure the infrastructure meets current and future business needs, maintaining optimal performance and security across all IT operations. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for fostering innovation and improvements, ensuring the IT infrastructure supports the organization's growth and operational goals.
Specific Responsibilities and Skills:
1. Infrastructure Management:
- Design, implement, and maintain the IT infrastructure to support current operations and future growth.
- Manage server infrastructure, storage solutions, and network services.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of IT systems and services.
- Experience managing multiple locations/site is a plus.
2. Cybersecurity:
- Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and policies.
- Monitor security threats and vulnerabilities and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., Sox, FDA, HIPAA, GDPR, NIST).
- Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration tests.
- Manage incident response and disaster recovery plans.
3. Network Administration:
- Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Ensure network security and performance optimization.
- Manage network-related projects, including upgrades and expansions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly.
4. System Administration:
- Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of server hardware and software.
- Ensure regular backups and disaster recovery solutions are in place and tested.
- Oversee user account management, including Active Directory and other authentication systems.
- Implement and manage virtualization technologies.
5. Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, including network administrators, system administrators, and security analysts.
- Encourage continuous improvement and innovation within the IT infrastructure, including adopting new technologies and methodologies
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
6. Project Management:
- Plan and execute IT infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of IT systems and processes.
- Keep Server and Network diagram current
7. Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
8. Budget Management
- Develop and manage the IT infrastructure budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources
Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNA, CCNP, or MCSE are highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in network administration (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and tools.
- Experience with server and storage systems (Windows, Linux, VMware, etc.)
- Familiarity with cloud services (Azure, AWS, etc.)
- Experience with security tools (Crowdstrike, Automox, Druva, Rapid7, etc.)

- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Salary range: $170,000- $185,000. The compensation range for this position is specific to the location and is in good faith what SI-BONE expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
