About the Job
Beacon Health System is currently sourcing candidates for a Human Resources Manager opportunity to lead our Elkhart General Hospital HR function in addition to being a strategic and collaborative member of the overall Beacon HR Leadership team.
Position Summary
- Reporting to the Executive Director, Talent & Organizational Development, and leading two direct reports, this position is responsible for leading and evolving all aspects of the associate experience across the human capital life cycle (onboarding to exit).
- You will service both clinical and non-clinical areas as a trusted and integrated internal consultant providing guidance and support to leadership and associates aligned to Beacon’s values while aligning towards our strategic initiatives.
- You’ll have the opportunity to work proactively and collaboratively with internal HR subject matter experts on innovative and transformational solutions to issues and consistently partner with internal corporate support areas and HR functions to ensure cohesion across key stakeholders across the system.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or related field.
- Master's degree in Human Resources Management/Labor Relations, Business, or Public Policy is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a strategic, collaborative, and consultative HR operating model is required.
Knowledge & Skills
- Requires a thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and practices, employee relations policies and procedures, and regulations, disciplinary procedures, and investigative techniques. Knowledge of immigration laws and processes is desired.
- Requires the ability to manage and administer a broad range of tasks including resolving complaints, counseling managers and employees on the interpretation of policies, procedures.
- Requires the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet programs, and presentation graphics software in order to prepare written reports, correspondences, and presentations.
- Demonstrates the interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) necessary to build positive working relationships, and to interact effectively with all levels of BHS personnel, attorneys, and union officials using the necessary persuasive and negotiation skills.
