This is a fully REMOTE role.Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease.What You’ll Work OnPrimary Job Function:Lead the Global Therapy Development Specialist team in the supporting and enabling successful training for customers and commercial organizations globally. This team serves the train the trainer function for customer programs, product launches, rep continuing education, and new-hire training, across all therapies, skillsets, products, and geographies. Core Job Responsibilities:Ensure successful implementation of training programs via deep clinical, technical, and selling knowledge, collaboration in development of training content, sharing of knowledge throughout the organization, assuming the train the trainer role with relationship to regional training teams, and guaranteeing successful implementation of training programs.Manage team on projects, performance, professional development.Develop and maintain strong faculty relationships globally.Set educational strategy based on current need and future opportunities, including expansion into new product categories and therapies, aligning these strategies to vascular priorities.Provide clinical and business insights during the creation of coronary and endovascular curricula and courses for physician and allied HCP customers. Communicate and coordinate regularly with global and geography partners on new product launches, training programs, training compliance and effectiveness.Partner closely and maintain relationships with Global Curriculum, Medical Education, Sales, Marketing, Sales Training, Medical Science, Clinical Engineering, R&D, Meetings, Ethics and Compliance, Legal, Commercial Excellence, and other functional teams in communication and execution of training.Engage with pipeline, products in development, and clinical trials to keep current on state of affairs and the most contemporary clinical information.Drive compliance-mindset for team for all programs, including proper and timely booking of travel, contracting with faculty and vendors, payments, and reporting of physician payments.Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures, including FDA requirements.Conduct needs assessments, identify gaps in education, and design and implement programs to address these gaps.Position Accountability / Scope:Responsible for enabling successful training in all geographies (APAC, US, EMEA, CALA) across all therapies (coronary, peripheral, vessel closure) in a ~$3B product portfolio. Without relevant and timely training and education for internal and external stakeholders, patient safety can be jeopardized leading to unnecessary medical procedures or death. Improper records are auditable and could lead to fines and other negative consequences for the Abbott Vascular business if not properly managed and kept in a compliant state.
