About the Job
GENERAL PURPOSE:
Position is responsible for the design, development and enhancements of current financial management systems for SMH and HH pharmacies and affiliates. He/she will manage a group of Financial Analysts, Information Analysts and/or other Pharmacy Finance staff to ensure the overall efficiency and successful operation of the pharmacy finance group. Specific areas of responsibility include financial projections and budgeting, financial reporting, classification/reconciliation of accounts, and financial analytics and analysis. Position will devise methods for gathering information, analyzing and interpreting data; prepare reports and make recommendations. Position requires advanced knowledge of financial analysis techniques, general accounting theory and practices of the University and Highland Hospital accounting systems.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Provides oversight of financial operations, analysis and reporting for inpatient and ambulatory pharmacies, including preparation of financial statements and month end reports, preparation of journal entries and reconciliation of bank accounts and ledger accounts. Makes day¿to¿day interpretations and decisions on the accounting treatment of financial transactions.
+ Supervises and manages the Highland Hospital pharmacy finance team including recruitment, interviewing, hiring/termination, training, competency and performance review. This includes financial analysts and may include other pharmacy finance staff.
+ Coordinates preparation for annual financial audits and tax returns. Ensures timely account reconciliations and audit schedule preparation, and adherence to submission deadlines. Communicates with SMH and HH finance staff and external auditors to ensure that all supporting documentation is provided and follow up questions are resolved.
+ Assists Director of Pharmacy Finance in preparation of annual capital and operating budgets for pharmacy FAOs. Conducts analysis of revenue and expense trends, and prepares projections and supporting schedules. Collaborates with the other members of the pharmacy leadership team to develop, evaluate and submit business improvement plans throughout the year.
+ Oversees pharmacy physical inventory counts including scheduling, auditing and reporting of inventory balances and related variance explanations. Monitors fixed asset schedules and reports changes to SMH and HH Finance.
+ Actively participates in evaluation, development and implementation of new pharmacy programs and optimization of existing programs. This includes adding new business lines, as well as major changes in software or service providers.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, MBA or CPA preferred
+ 3-5 years of relevant experience required, including 1-2 years of management experience preferred
+ or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ Demonstrated leadership skills, strong analytical skills, and organized, collaborative and committed.
+ Proven record of developing strong partnerships within an organization and the community. Excellent oral andwritten communication skills.

**Pay Range**
Pay Range: $84,718 - $127,088 Annually
_The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._
