About the Job
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Manager of Financial Reporting will oversee technical accounting areas and contribute to SEC reporting. This leader collaborates closely with senior leaders across departments to achieve reporting objectives while ensuring alignment with organizational values and goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee accounting for legal entity consolidations, investments, stock-based compensation, equity, impairment assessments, earnings per share, and debt.
- Conduct accounting and regulatory research to ensure compliance with SEC and NYSE regulations and U.S. GAAP standards.
- Prepare annual Form 10-K, quarterly Form 10-Q, and other SEC filings.
- Manage the administration of various impairment assessments.
- Collaborate with external auditors on technical accounting issues.
- Ensure compliance with SOX 404 and maintain adequate internal controls documentation.
- Lead and develop the financial reporting team through analysis, discussions, and training.
- Participate in ancillary audits and account reconciliation reviews.
- Assist with other duties as assigned, including attending meetings, training, and adhering to company policies.
Work Environment
- Hybrid model : In-office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, remote for the remaining three days if preferred.
- Travel requirements : Up to 5%.
Pay Range
- $110,000 - $120,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
- Experience :
- Minimum 4 years in public accounting or 5–6 years in a publicly traded company.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP required.
- Experience leading, training, and developing teams.
- Certifications : CPA highly preferred.
- Technical Skills :
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Oracle/Hyperion/Essbase preferred.
- Workiva experience preferred.
- Communication : Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
