Job Description:Exciting Opportunity at MSK
We are seeking a Manager, Financial Analytics to join our Research Financial Planning Team. In this role you will collaborate with leadership to solicit input and feedback on industry trends, internal operational trends, and challenges. Identifies reporting & analytics solutions to support the continued evolution of financial and business needs. You will be tasked with actively researching and implementing innovative strategic solutions based to meet the current and future data and reporting needs.
Role Overview:
- Creates and collaborates with other teams to develop user friendly dashboards though the employment of data visualization
- Collaborates with and supports colleagues in the analysis of revenue and expense; includes support of financial budget modeling, variance analysis and calculations
- Identifies reporting & analytics solutions to support the continued evolution of financial and business needs.
- Analyzes data elements and relationships of systems; demonstrates understanding of relationships between data elements and end-user requirements.
- Investigates, determines and documents sources of anomalies and relationships using all available resources.
- Ensures reports are accurate and completed on schedule.
- Creates and executes test plans for data when implementing new system items.
- Designs and develops database solution with reporting capabilities.
- Plan, coordinate, monitor and review the work of others during all phases of the project team's work and coordinate the planning.
- Maintains professional growth and development through seminars and workshops, to keep abreast of the latest health care technology, policy, regulatory, and financial issues.
- Mentors and guides junior staff; may have direct reports in some areas.
Key Qualifications:
- 7-10 years’ experience in data science, statistics, database management finance, or predictive analytics.
- Ability to make tactical decisions based on objectives set by higher-level management.
- Experience providing resolutions to an assortment of problems that are typically not well defined.
- Understanding of how to make tactical decisions based on objectives set by higher-level management.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and financial statement analysis is essential.
Core Skills:
- The ability to lead a team, delegate tasks effectively, and mentor junior analysts is important.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for presenting financial information, explaining complex concepts, and making recommendations.
- Ability to maintain external vendor or partner relationships at a high level.
- An interest for making judgments or recommendations to be able to achieve goals.

Pay Range: $118,800.00-$196,200.00
