Overview
Manages financial & statistical analysis and reporting for the organization by performing the following duties personally or
through subordinate supervisors
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Supervise, and perform as needed, preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Manage the Annual budget preparation process for SOFIE.
• Identify potential opportunities to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
• Improve and maintain reporting and analysis of financial metrics; ensure the accuracy of financial metrics
• Perform timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts.
• Assist in the development and the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
• Assist senior management in financial planning and results management, ensuring timely preparation of
presentation materials for board and leadership meetings.
• Work with other team members in Sales and Operations to understand revenue and cost drivers, create and
maintain appropriate reports for tracking.
• Analyze company financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance with budgets. Manage the
preparation and distribution of regular status and ad hoc reports to senior management.
• Manage cash flow forecasting processes and provide recommendations on optimal use of capital
• Provide supporting analyses (e.g. return on investment projections) of financial terms where required for non standard commercial and licensing deals. Occasionally provide input to RFP’s and pricing proposals
• Hands-On experience with the ability to directly extract information from the ERP and forecasting systems.
• Other finance and administrative duties as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises financial analysts/accountant employees in the Finance department. Carries out supervisory
responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing,
hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and
disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, finance or similar major
• Five or more years‘ work experience in a corporate accounting or audit environment
• Supervisory experience preferred
• CPA certification preferred
• Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly intermediate Excel experience required
• Experience with SAP Business One preferred
