Responsibilities:Position Summary:
The Manager, Equipment Pool is responsible for planning, directing, overseeing, and evaluating all aspects of the equipment pool function across the organization. The incumbent is responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing success of the department and organizational strategic vision, business initiatives, objectives, and goals. Applies managerial skills and expertise to source and procure healthcare equipment products and ensure optimal alignment of department resources, achievement of organization-wide standards and compliance, and strategies to improve resource utilization. Incumbent is responsible for the department’s operational and financial performance and budgetary and purchasing functions. Implements and maintains fiscal practices to effectively manage equipment resources to achieve organizational and operational requirements and maintenance of quality, safety, and compliance standards. Identify and lead performance improvement projects. Participates on various hospital-wide projects and quality improvement initiatives, prepares comprehensive reports and presentations on department operations, highlighting key performance indicators, trends, and recommendations for improvement. Creates a safe work environment, provides oversight of human resource management, and coaches, leads, and develops supervisors in a positive environment that fosters respect and optimal performance.

Required Qualifications:
- Skills to collaborate within and across departments / locations to integrate / coordinate daily activities and resolve problems.
- Proven problem solving, critical thinking, and strategic planning skills to evaluate complex issues, identify problems and options, and determine and implement appropriate, effective solutions
- Proven analytical skills to collect, organize, and analyze complex data
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Minimum 3 years prior supervisory/leadership experience, managing projects, providing guidance and motivating others
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills to effectively communicate with staff and management across the organization
- Excellent knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Established ability to organize operations in an efficient and effective manner through improving processes, procedures, and systems
- Demonstrated ability to successfully identify priorities while managing multiple assignments simultaneously
- Current BLS certification required by time of hire
- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Related Field
- Knowledge of relevant medical center, Human Resources, and UC policies and processes
