Job Announcement:
TheCity of Webster's Public Works Department is accepting applications for the position of Manager, Engineering and Construction. The purpose of this position is to coordinate and direct City capital improvement projects. This is accomplished by overseeing the planning and coordination of projects and managing the planning of right-of-ways and plats. Other duties may include coordinating GIS and materials testing services, participating in the budget process and interfacing with other City employees and citizens. This position provides direction to other employees.
Minimum Qualifications:
This position requires broad knowledge in the engineering and construction fields. This knowledge is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a bachelor's degree in either construction management or engineering.
- Requires three (3) to five (5) years of relevant engineering and construction experience.
- Valid Texas Class "C" Driver's License
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Ability to deal with system of real numbers; practical application of fractions, percentages, ratios/proportions and measurement. Ability to write reports, prepare business letters, expositions, and summaries with proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar, using all parts of speech.

This is an essential services position. Employees in essential services positions will be required to provide services in the course and scope of their employment for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations that threaten the safety of Webster's citizens per the City's Emergency Services Guidelines.
