Position Summary:
The Manager of Employee Engagement will play a pivotal role in driving employee engagement and optimizing the employee experience across AEG's operations. This position will involve providing input on the overall employee engagement strategy for internal company events, initiatives, and programs, while serving as a business partner to support internal business lines in their communication needs. This position will report to the Sr. Director, Employee Engagement and partner with various departments such as Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Human Resources, Creative Services, Corporate Communications, External Affairs, etc.
Essential Duties
- Heavy contribution with developing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive engagement program aimed at increasing employee retention and fostering a culture of inclusion. An example includes, AEG Service Awards.
- Partner with the Internal Communications Manager for internal communications, executive communications, and employee events, supporting collateral for AEG Backstage, and establish effective two-way communication channels between employees and management.
- Provide leadership, coaching and development to staff.
- Work with leadership and other departments (DEI, HR, Corporate Communications), to understand the voice of the employee, identify opportunities that will help drive employee satisfaction, retention, and performance; and help create programming that supports these drivers. This includes, but is not limited to working with Human Resources on Health & Well-Being initiatives DEI – Employee Network Groups etc.
- Utilize proactive analytics across survey projects to identify actions and interventions in support of a positive workplace. Work closely with the Survey team to deploy the Global MyVoice Engagement Survey along with any other surveys throughout the year.
- Support Employee Engagement Specialist with planning, producing, and executing bi- annual company meeting, AEG Connect Summit with Sr. Director of Employee Engagement along with Summit Planning Committee. Partner with our EE Events position to plan, produce, execute All Staff Meetings at least 2x/year.
- May be assigned projects to meet department and business needs.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree (4-year)
- 5+ years related work experience
- Minimum 1 year experience managing, mentoring, and/or coaching teams is highly preferred
- Experience in a large higly matrixed organization is preferred
- Ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally, fostering strong relationships and promoting a positive company image.
- Demonstrated experience in change management and/or project management, ensuring successful implementation of initiatives.
- Proficiency in managing corporate intranets and other communications technologies.
- Excellent public speaking and event planning expertise to deliver impactful communications.
- Strong organization and time management skills, self-motivated with the ability to achieve results with minimal supervision.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated ability to simplify complex concepts in a compelling, concise, and creative manner for diverse internal and external audience.
- Demonstrated business acumen to align communications with organizational objectives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word); ability to quickly learn all required business systems.
- Deep knowledge in survey data analysis, providing valuable insights to drive decision-making.
- Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment, demonstrating flexibility and delivering quality work.
- Skilled at building relationships across all levels of the organization, including company officers and senior executives.
Payscale: $89,936- $129,699
