About the Job
• Develops and optimizes vehicle testing procedures and processes regarding efficiency, and changes in customer requirements/behavior and environmental/infrastructure conditions.
• Influencing the development and implementation of US specific vehicle features and technologies.
• Analysis and evaluation of competitor concepts.
• Optimization of vehicle validation procedures and processes with process partners at BMW R&D.
• Support Legal, Marketing, Communication departments with insight on technical issues.
• Negotiate with vendor companies to recruit and implement new engineering personnel.
• Manage a group of BMW- and external engineers responsible for drivetrain- and emissions-validation of BMW Group US vehicle portfolio and all drivetrain technologies (Conventional, Hybrid, BEV) with consideration of US customer requirements under normal and extreme environmental conditions, including vehicle planning, preparation, operation, post-processing and generation and reporting of test results and measured data
• Continuously monitor available resources and future need for resources (internal and external workforce) and initiate/implement appropriate adjustments on time to ensure safe and efficient operation of US powertrain and emissions validation.

The pay range for this role is $137,520- $175,365.
The selected candidate's education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

• Master's degree in mechanical, electrical, or automotive engineering or equivalent discipline.
• 3 to 5 years' experience in a leadership role.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Broad experience and knowledge of vehicle drive train technology (Conventional, Hybrid and BEV).
• Skilled in planning, managing, and coordinating projects within an international work environment.
