Our Clinical Supply Operations is responsible for the supply of drug product administered to patients in clinical studies worldwide. In Global Product Development and Supply the team works closely with our partners to deliver quality products safely, efficiently and on time while operationalizing the innovative technologies that will deliver the transformative medicines of tomorrow. Role & Responsibilities:
The candidate will be responsible for the following operationally based activities:
- Effectively oversee non-GMP batch execution and supervise technicians to ensure product is made in accordance with pertinent specifications and safety requirements.
- Training personnel on use of processing equipment, including Gerteis and Alexanderwerk roller compactors, Kikusui tablet press, Thomas Engineering tablet coater, and tablet laser printer.
- Coordinately with maintenance ensuring processing equipment properly maintained and available for use.
- Lead process safety reviews, complete monthly emissions reports and safety inspections.
- Ordering materials for processing and general supplies.
- Execution of formulation and process development, tech transfer, scale-up, and alternate raw material supplier qualification batches.
- Support procurement and installation of new equipment as needed.
- The candidate will work on a variety of processes, supporting the BMS portfolio from early development through post commercial launch.
- They will coordinate activities within the Technology Center, supporting colleagues from Drug Product Development, Clinical Supply Operations, and Manufacturing Science & Technology.
- Candidate is expected to play an active role providing technical support to the operation.
- B.E./B.S. in Engineering or in a related science field and 6+ years of experience, M.S. and 4-6 years of experience, or PhD and 2-4 years of experience
- 5+ years of experience with oral solid dosage pharmaceutical manufacturing and/or formulation required
- At least 3 years of supervisor experience is preferred.
- The successful candidate will have the ability to lead and motivate others, the capability to solve process related problems and the command of effective communication skills.
- Must have the skills to balance technical needs, resources requirements, and other business considerations across multiple assigned projects.
