Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage a team of civil engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Lead the design and planning of complex civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, transportation, and site development.
- Ensure all designs and plans are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure the proper implementation of design plans.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring all resources are utilized efficiently.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members, fostering professional growth and development.
- Continually review and improve engineering processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle, implementing effective solutions.
- Prepare and present project reports and updates to senior management and clients.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A master’s degree would be a plus.
- A minimum of 8+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on site design.
- Proven experience managing and leading a team of engineers.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency in civil engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to overcome project challenges effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- A professional engineering (PE) license is required.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
