JOB SUMMARY
The Manager Certification plans, organizes, and directs certification and/or stress engineering department to develop and execute certification programs that demonstrate compliance to regulatory and OEM regulations. Supports new product development and improvement of existing product lines through the leadership of the certification and stress engineering teams.
SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES - Essential Functions(Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested.)

- Determine structural certification path for installations, units, and components
- Manage preliminary and detailed stress analysis of aircraft interior units and components using FEA and/or hand calculations
- Prepare, check and/or approve certification test plans/reports, interface loads reports and static test plans/reports, stress analysis reports, comparative analysis reports, etc.
- Manage testing efforts, including instructing, scheduling, coordinating between internal and external parties
- Act as primary interface with customer and certification/stress engineers to identify and assist in articulation of customer requirements and priorities; discusses and resolves technical/program issues and problems and provide contract status and updates
- Identify, evaluate, establish, and implement alternative courses of action in response to changing customer focus, requirements, or needs relating to structural analysis
- Manage and lead certification/stress engineers on one or more projects
- Manage schedules and assign work within the team
- Review designs and sign off on drawings; identify and communicate necessary changes to drawings
- Oversee key projects, processes, and performance reports (KPI), data, and analysis
- Initiate, review and/or analyze proposals, such as sales quotes, department improvements, expansions, etc.
- Develop, determine, and implement policies, procedures, and programs
- Continuously manage on-budget and on-quality performance
- Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities; responsible for adhering to budgetary guidelines; appraisals, coaching, counseling, corrective actions
- Maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment, adhering to all Company policies and procedures
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Maintain and protect the confidentiality of the Company’s information and products
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required
- Master’s Degree is desired
Experience:
- 5+ years or more of direct experience
- 2+ years of leading teams
Skills:
- Project management, problem solving/analysis, technical capacity, communication proficiency, leadership, financial management
- Detailed knowledge of TSO and Part 25 processes and general FAA regulations
- Detailed knowledge of regulatory and installer structural requirements

- Experience in working at a high pace with changing settings; able to provide direction and pivot where needed whilst facing high levels of ambiguity

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Adient Aerospace offers competitive wages and benefits to recognize employees for their work. The base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.
Salary Range Transparency: $116,000 - $159,000 annually
