This is a hybrid position. The first three months will be in the office.
Role and Scope of Position:
The incumbent is responsible for the engineering and project management of major capital projects. Responsible for the coordination of all engineering activities related to assigned projects and for interfacing with all project stakeholders, including Engineering, Business Development, Asset Management, Stores, Substation Construction, Convex, Test Personnel, Contract Administration, Legal, Real Estate, Accounting etc. Identifies project scope, procures needed engineering resources, and manages the engineering work in a manner, which ensures compliance with safety, budget, and schedule requirements.
Essential Functions:
+ Organizes and manages Engineering resource supporting highly complex capital projects including, but not limited to, offshore wind, new substation additions, transformer and switchgear additions, underground cables, etc.
+ Ensures that all designs follow Eversource Substation Standards, Utility Industry Standards, and are applied in a safe manner.
+ Ensures development of accurate schedules and engineering resource projections.
+ Represents the project to all Federal, State and Local regulatory bodies; ensures compliance with standards and regulations.
+ Creates and approves the conceptual design package for the project (general arrangement, site development, anesthetic/environmental, safety) and approves all detail electrical engineering drawings.
+ Provides expertise to all Electric Operating Companies for equipment/apparatus including, but not limited to, power transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, circuit switchers, HV UG lines, etc.
+ Manages and tracks project engineering costs for Eversource to ensure compliance with financial requirements of the project.
+ Provides overall engineering project direction and coordination of all disciplines from the start in Engineering through Construction until acceptance by the end users for Eversource projects and through the engineering phase for Eversource projects.
+ Initiates corrective action as necessary on problems throughout the life of the Eversource project and through the engineering phase for Eversource projects.
+ Ensures projects follow best practices and Eversource policies

+ Excellent leadership, teambuilding, coaching, interpersonal and motivational skills.
+ Thorough knowledge of applicable engineering, work practices and procedures, and safety requirements.
+ Thorough knowledge of engineering and design contracts.
+ Knowledge of the energy delivery power system.
+ The ability to schedule, plan, and manage complex projects.
+ Human resource management and the ability to utilize information technology and Eversource’s office automation systems.
_Education:_
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Master’s Degree preferred
_Experience:_
+ Ten (10) to twelve (12) years of experience consisting of a combination of electrical engineering and engineering project management experience. Experience in Energy Delivery is preferred.
_Licenses & Certifications:_
+ None
Working Conditions:
+ Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
+ Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
Compensation and Benefits:
+ Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $145,310.00 -$161,460.00plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of benefits.
