Opportunity at a Glance
This role offers the opportunity to lead and inspire a team of skilled Business Process Analysts and Experts, driving impactful solutions involving system support, federal and state aid oversight, project management, and the creation of streamlined standardized operating procedures. This hands-on leader will spearhead critical projects and initiatives, ensuring seamless execution of business priorities that power the operations of Adtalem institutions. This leader will play a pivotal role in shaping the team’s success and delivering results that make a meaningful impact.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing and developing departmental staff as they direct daily operations of the business process analysts/experts
- Responsible for ensuring key business tasks align with current business process and organizational need.
- Serves as backup liaison within Institutional Support Services, IT and institutions in regard to key functional system enhancements and system configuration.
- Design, develop and implement processes for regulatory or business changes that impact business systems
- Maximize team effectiveness by strategically reallocating work tasks to other institutional support services or Adtalem teams, ensuring optimal resource utilization and enhanced operational efficiency.
- Proactively monitor team performance using team dashboards/Microsoft planner/lists and performance reports to ensure timely service to stakeholders
- Participates in the planning of service requests, implementation steps, corrective actions, upgrade recommendations and optimization steps for business systems
- Provides leadership to promote and maintain integrity and accuracy of the various reporting from functional systems.
- Submits monthly/quarterly reports on BPA/BPE projects to Senior Leader, anticipates work that will impact business systems
- Coordinates development of training material for any new/changed business process flows within key systems or to key business partners.
- Establishes service standards and metrics to measure service delivery and ensures that staff knows and understand their responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities.
- Work with business partners and Information Technology personnel to identify business requirements
- and system development specifications for business changes and enhancement requests.
- Stays current on all local, state and federal policies that affect student finance and financial aid systems including, Title IV regulations, VA programs, scholarship opportunities and College academic policies.
- Travels as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Sciences, Project Management, or related field.
- 5 years' experience in the area of financial aid, Title IV and student advising required, preferably at a multi-level, multi-location educational institution.
- Experience with Banner Student Accounts, Salesforce, ProSam and/or other Financial Aid Management systems
- Experience managing large projects, creating and defining complex operational processes and procedures.
- Must have strong analytical and organizational skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a matrix organization.
- Candidates must possess hands-on and versatile leadership qualities and the ability to manage change in a fast paced environment.
- The ability to manage, motivate and develop staff is required.
- Candidates should possess excellent communication, inter-personal skills and demonstrate the ability to foster collaboration across diverse groups of constituents, including students, faculty, management, system developers, and other staff.
- Candidates must have strong analytical project management and organizational skills around business process improvements, change management and systems improvements.
- Ability to work in a high pressure environment.
- Ability to express technical information to a broad group of people.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop staff in various environments.
Additional Information
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $70696.34 and $124230.14. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
