Summary:
Under the leadership of the Director of Pharmacy Informatics, the Manager of Business Intelligence manages the design, development, and deployment of Business Intelligence (BI) systems that integrate with PerformRx data sources. The primary focus of the Manager is to collaborate with users, analysts, and developers to design and plan initiatives, and ensure the business intelligence tool users have adequate training and understanding to produce effective dashboards, reports, and metrics from the interactive platform.The incumbent will manage the day-to-day performance of their direct reports.
Responsibilities:
+ Manage and oversee the number of projects being assigned to the teams; determine priorities in partnership with the project management team to ensure resources are being efficiently assigned
+ Collaborate with internal departments to understand their evolving data needs; design and develop dashboards to meet those needs while driving towards improved outcomes and key performance metrics
+ Gather intelligence data to make informed conclusions on business practices; present analytical findings to Executive Team to drive both strategic and tactical decisions
+ Independently work closely with end-users to understand and translate business needs to create well-designed and validated BI solutions using business intelligence tools
+ Independently complete analysis, development and enhancement of analytical and operational BI solutions to fulfill business needs
+ Proactively communicate project deliverable status, issues, and risks to management
+ Create efficient reporting practices and enhance reporting capabilities including design and implementation of reporting
+ Ensure reporting requirements are successfully executed and issues are resolved timely
Education/Experience:
+ Bachelor’s Degree required - Computer Science or Information Technology preferred
+ Requires:**
+ Minimum 5 years’ experience in Business Intelligence development, understanding of database management systems, HADOOP and Big Data environments
+ Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL servers, Oracle databases
+ Proven experience as a BI Developer and/or Data Scientist using Tableau technologies
+ Familiarity with BI technologies, e.g., Online Analytical Processing, Extract Transform Load, Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI
+ Analytical mindset focused on process and data analysis
+ Background in data warehouse design, e.g., dimensional modeling, and data mining
+ Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
+ Analytical mindset with a problem-solving aptitude
