Job Summary:
The Manager - Banquet Operations provides direct support to the Banquet Supervisors and Banquet Servers to ensure event service is delivered to our established standards. They work with the Event Sales and Conference Managers during individual programs and events and have full oversight of the service team to ensure all details are executed as planned. The Manager - Banquet Operations also remains in close communication with the Director to carry out direction as needed. This role involves working both in the office handling administrative duties and on the floor providing support to the Supervisors during functions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to the Banquet Supervisors and Banquet Servers to ensure event service is delivered to our established standards
- Collaborate with Event Sales and Conference Managers during individual programs and events
- Have full oversight of the service team to ensure all details are executed as planned
- Maintain close communication with the Director to carry out direction as needed
- Handle administrative duties in the office
- Provide support to the Supervisors during functions on the floor
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in banquet operations or hospitality management
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards
- Proficiency in event planning and execution
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary
