Southwire Job Description
AI Machine Learning Product Manager will use data to understand the product and business ecosystem, identify opportunities, and shape product development. Will guide product teams using data and insights, focusing on developing hypotheses employing various analytical approaches, and telling data-driven stories to influence leaders and build credibility while inspiring and leading a team of data scientists and data science leader
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead the team of data scientists to develop AI/ML and data-driven business strategies
• Drive analytics projects end-to-end in partnership with cross-functional teams to inform, influence, and execute product strategy and investment decisions.
• Influence product direction through clear and compelling presentations to leadership.
• Work with large and complex data sets to solve a wide array of challenging problems using different analytical and statistical approaches.
• Identify and measure the success of product efforts through goal setting, forecasting, and monitoring of key product metrics to understand trends.
• Define, understand, and test opportunities and levers to improve the product/services, and drive roadmaps through your insights and recommendations.
• Contribute towards advancing the Data Science discipline, including but not limited to driving data best practices (e.g. analysis, goaling, experimentation), improving analytical processes, scaling knowledge and tools, and mentoring other data scientists
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's
Specialized Degree: Data Science
Years of Experience: 10+
Field of Expertise: Product Manager, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Education Level: Master's
Specialized Degree: Data/Decision Sciences
Years of Experience: 15+
Preferred Field of Expertise: Product Development, Product Ownership
Other Preferred Skills, Licenses, & Certificates: Architecting for AI/ML-based products for business applications, 5+ years leadership experience, Strong product management and product ownership experience. Qualification and/or experience in AI product development is a plus.
