Job Summary:
The Manager, Accounting and Sales Analytics will work with the Vice President of Sales to support sales planning & analysis. The position will support best practices in sales forecasting, reporting, and communications. As the Manager, Accounting and Sales Analytics, responsibilities include data analysis, reporting, market research, competitive analysis and planning. Ideal candidates will have Business Analysis experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, evaluate data to report actionable insights to the sales team.
- Own the development and communication of the plan and forecast, customer sales reporting, and executive reviews for Actuals, Plan, and Latest Estimate. Identify sources of changes.
- Measure the effectiveness of Promotions relative to Sales lift vs. Cost.
- Develop and assess business cases for pricing, providing insights and support to the Sales team.
- Prepare sales presentation materials and formal business case documents for use with internal departments and customers to highlight opportunities.
- Evaluate business results and serve as a functional expert to the Sales Team to provide strategic guidance and insights during the analysis process.
- Proactively monitor sales data looking for trends, anomalies, and other insights.
- Track competitive promotional retails and Ad frequencies
- Support process improvement initiatives and developing actionable reports and dashboards for sales leadership using key reporting systems.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and recommendations in support of ongoing strategic initiatives. • Assist with specific projects and initiatives, such as system updates and business process improvements.
- This Role is required to work from Johanna’s Corporate Office located at 20 Johanna Farms Road in Flemington NJ. Remote work is not available.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years Consumer Products industry experience preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills (can maintain complex spreadsheets)
- Experience with Hyperion Essbase, SmartView or other Business intelligence, or analytical tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related business degree is required.
Preferred skills:
- Experience with Nielsen Reporting systems.
- Excellent analytical skills, with very strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team setting.
- Proven ability to set and meet ambitious deadlines, handle numerous multifaceted financial matters, and see projects through to conclusion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
