Position Summary:

We are hiring for our Management Trainee Position, designed to develop future leaders who will oversee and manage the operations of our state-of-the-art dental practices. Whether you're interested in learning about dental assisting, front desk operations, billing, accounting, treatment plan coordination or dental lab management, this position will provide you with the training and mentorship to succeed in all aspects of the business.
As a Management Trainee, you'll receive hands-on experience and comprehensive training, preparing you for a leadership role in our practice. You'll gain knowledge in dentistry, learn how to manage a team, and develop the skills necessary to oversee daily operations and drive business growth.
General Duties & Responsibilities:
- Learn the fundamentals of dentistry, including dental assisting, front desk operations, treatment plan coordination, billing, accounting, and dental lab management.
- Ensure smooth operations across all departments, including assisting the dental team, managing patient flow, and overseeing office administration and operations.
- Cultivate a customer-first approach, ensuring every patient receives high-quality care and service.
- Receive mentorship and training on how to lead, motivate, and manage a team of dental professionals and staff members.
- Work closely with all departments to ensure alignment in goals, communication, and efficiency.
- Gain hands-on experience in billing, accounting, treatment plan coordination and managing budgets to ensure financial success and sustainability of the practice.
- Travel to other Columbia Dental locations to provide coverage when requested by Manager.
- Other relevant duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:

- Able to pass background checks
- CPR is a plus
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Masters in Public Health, Healthcare Administration or related degree highly preferred.
- Previous work experience as a dentist, knowledge of dentistry, and publications in the field are highly preferred.
- Experience using Dentrix is a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to be physically mobile (stand, walk, reach, climb, bend) and also the ability to stand for prolonged periods throughout the day/work hours when needed
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate medical equipment, keyboard, copier, telephone, and the ability to write/type
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds occasionally
