Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Print Device Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain a fleet of printers and multifunction devices.
- Monitor and manage print queues to ensure efficient print job processing.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on print devices.
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical support for print-related issues, including hardware malfunctions and software errors.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems with print devices and related peripherals.
- Collaborate with end-users to address print service requests and ensure user satisfaction.
- Optimize print infrastructure for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Implement and manage print policies and controls to minimize waste and enhance security.
- Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades to improve performance.
- Managed Print Services Administration:
- Administer and maintain Managed Print Services (MPS) software solutions.
- Monitor and analyze print usage data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Generate reports on print volumes, costs, and efficiency.
- Interface with print service vendors to coordinate repairs, replacements, and service agreements.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with print service providers to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Proven experience as a Managed Print Services Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of print technologies, including printers, copiers, and multifunction devices.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
- Familiarity with Managed Print Services (MPS) software solutions.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Technical certifications related to print services (optional).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certifications or a degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field is a plus.
