Key Responsibilities
- Contract Negotiation & Management:
- Negotiate and draft terms with managed care organizations (MCOs) to optimize agreements.
- Ensure contracts comply with legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
- Conduct detailed reviews and recommend modifications to contract language to improve financial performance and mitigate risks.
- Compliance & Regulatory Oversight:
- Monitor federal, state, and local regulations impacting managed care agreements and ensure all contracts remain compliant.
- Financial & Operational Analysis:
- Analyze payment trends and reimbursement methodologies to maximize financial outcomes.
- Collaborate with financial teams to assess contract profitability and identify growth opportunities.
- Strategic Collaboration:
- Act as the primary liaison between Venza Care and managed care organizations.
- Work closely with clinical, operational, and billing teams to align contract terms with service delivery capabilities.
- Strategic Planning & Innovation:
- Develop strategies for innovative payment models such as value-based care.
- Identify and cultivate new partnerships to enhance managed care opportunities.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain a detailed database of contracts and correspondence.
- Present regular updates to leadership on contract performance and payer trends.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years in managed care contracting or healthcare administration.
- Proven success in contract negotiation and management.
- Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of managed care principles, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance systems.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Expertise in contract management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge:
- Familiarity with value-based care models and risk-sharing agreements is a plus.
