Job Overview:
As Mammographer you will play a key role in providing high-quality mammographic imaging and patient care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Mammographic Examinations: Conduct screening and diagnostic mammograms, ensuring high-quality imaging and a compassionate patient experience.
- Equipment Management: Operate and maintain state-of-the-art mammography equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and cleanliness at all times.
- Safety First: Follow strict safety protocols and radiation protection measures to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.
- Patient Care: Provide empathetic, patient-centered care, explaining procedures and addressing any concerns or questions to ensure a comfortable experience.
- Collaborate with Medical Team: Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate interpretation of mammographic images.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in alignment with regulatory and company standards, ensuring compliance with all applicable guidelines.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest advances in mammography technology and techniques through continuous education and training.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.
- Additional Diagnostic Imaging: Perform DEXA body compositions and CT calcium scores as needed, contributing to a comprehensive diagnostic approach.
Qualifications:
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Mammography
- Valid California Radiologic Technologist license
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mammographer
- Proficiency in operating mammography equipment with strong technical expertise
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with patients and the clinical team
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care and high ethical standards
- Knowledge of current mammography regulations and standards.
- Willingness to perform DEXA and CT calcium score exams as needed (adequate training will be provided).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with digital mammography and advanced imaging techniques
- Bilingual in English and Spanish to serve a diverse patient population
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for seamless documentation and patient management.
