Position Overview:

This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to women's health by providing high-quality mammography services. As a Mammography Technologist, you will play a crucial role in the early detection of breast cancer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mammographic examinations according to established protocols and guidelines.
• Prepare patients for examinations, explaining procedures and addressing any concerns.
• Position patients correctly for optimal image acquisition.
• Operate mammography equipment effectively and safely, adjusting parameters and optimizing image quality.
• Monitor patient vitals and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development and implementation of new protocols.
• Ensure compliance with all radiation safety protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • ARRT (R) (M) (Registered Radiologic Technologist - Mammography) certification required.
  • Texas Medical Board-MRT registration required.
  • BLS certification required (should not initiate patient contact until completed).
• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of breast anatomy and physiology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot mammography equipment.
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Skills and Certifications:

• ARRT (R) (M) (required)
• BLS (required)
