Job DescriptionThe Mammography Liaison reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnostic Imaging Mammography Liaison acts as the guest service personnel for the Breast Health Center.
- Responsible for order entry of tests and exams to be done in the department and is required to register patients as needed.
- Acts as a liaison to physicians, physician's offices, patients, patient's family members and internal and external departments and facilities.
- Communicates and distributes appropriate information to all modalities in the department.
- Pre-screens all patients prior to their test to ensure all proper documentation, forms and pre-exam formalities have been completed.
- Coordinates with the reading mammography provider to schedule necessary follow up imaging and procedures.
- Demonstrates support and awareness of daily schedule by expediting patient preparation and efficient progression of through the Breast Health Center.
- Demonstrates computer competence for electronic medical record, order entry, results, documentation, and policies.
- Demonstrates ability to organize, prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Addresses patient questions and concerns promptly, or identifies appropriate person and resources to do so.
- Maintains office supply inventory and orders supplies as needed maintaining fiscal responsibility.
- Responsible for obtaining and releasing requested imaging obtained within the department, per HIPPA guidelines.
- Coordinates with outside facilities to obtain previous exam imaging required for all diagnostic procedures.
- Responsible for uploading all prior outside imaging for breast health exams.
- Maintains the department incomplete imaging report to assist in ensuring timeliness of patient exam results.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with staff throughout the department

- Assists with ensuring Breast Health Center regulatory requirements are being met and adheres to our “Safety Always” mission.
- This role may support additional projects, perform administrative tasks, and other duties as assigned.
Required:
- A minimum 3 years of EPIC and PACS experience
- EPIC appointment scheduling
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to understand written and oral instructions pertaining to scheduling, order entry and physician requests
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to work collaboratively with various professional levels
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Basic typing and computer related skills
Preferred:
- Microsoft excel or access proficiency
- Minimum 1 year breast health center/mammography department support experience
