About the Job
Currently seeking several Maintenance Technicians for a full time, temporary position in East Providence, RI. There are openings on the day and night shift.
Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of electrical, mechanical and/or instrumentation maintenance tasks
Set-up, calibration, testing, and repair of all types of controls and instruments with pneumatic, electrical and electronic variables.
Maintenance and troubleshooting of 480VAC and lower equipment
Diagnosing fluid transfer systems and repairing pumps, valves, heat exchangers and other related components.
With the Process Control Engineer, support DCS (including Hardware & Software Programming, troubleshooting and optimizing)
Pipefitting duties including threading, welding and tubing
Equipment setting and alignment.
Mechanical repair and/or rebuilds of pumps, valves, etc.
Diagnose and repair material handling systems, conveyors, and roll-to-roll transfers
Diagnose and repair air handling systems such as fans, dampers, HVAC systems
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years previous experience as a maintenance technician
Electrician license a plus but not required
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems
Ability to us electrical and hand tools and utilize ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical components
Able to read and follow schematic, electrical diagrams/illustrations, electrical drawings and blueprints
Strong interpersonal skills
Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
Hours: 6:00pm-6:00am OR 6:00am-6:00pm 4 days on and 4 days off
