Maintenance Technician – Positions available on 2nd & 3rd Shift
Responsibility and Duties:
• Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts and examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
• Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts and lubricates and cleans parts as needed in accordance with food/beverage manufacturing quality system practices.
• Installs special functional and structural parts in devices and starts devices to test their performance.
• Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills and shares expertise with others.
• Exhibits sound and accurate judgment and includes appropriate people in decision-making process.
• Works with Maintenance Manager to prioritize and plan work activities and completes work in timely manner
• Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
• Works within approved budget and conserves organizational resources.
• Follows policies and procedures and observes safety and security procedures.
• Uses equipment and materials properly and reports potentially unsafe conditions.
• Maintains inventory records and performs cycle counts as necessary.
• Mechanic must have own basic set of tools, to include, but not be limited to the following items: Wrenches & sockets, adjustable wrenches, pliers, nut drivers, screwdrivers and hammer.
Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
One year certificate from college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
