Veterans Inc., New England's largest provider of services for veterans and their families, is a mission-oriented, non-profit agency offering a fast-paced, professional work environment looking to fill the role of a Facilities Manager.
- Management: Provides supervision and management of designated staff. Responsible for timely performance reviews for all staff and developing goals with staff input. Responsible for coordinating with human resources regarding disciplinary measures, employee relations, and employee training and development. Responsible for authorizing and approving staff time, attendance, and reimbursement requests as set forth in Veterans Inc. policy and procedures. Assists with acquiring competitive talent for the organization by participating in the new hire interviewing and selection process.
- Responsible for the maintenance ticket system.
- Responsible for visiting all sites in Massachusetts weekly.
- Responsible for all fire extinguishers, emergency lights, sprinklers, smoke alarms, and carbon monoxide inspections.
- Responsible for maintaining and installing when appropriate any cooling or heating equipment.
- Responsible for the inspection of kitchen suppression systems.
- Responsible for all building and fire safety inspections.
- Responsible for coordinating snow removal.
- Ensures all state and federal requirements are followed, including those of the VA, DVS, and HUD, as they pertain to residential care, building, and safety regulations.
- Maintains compliance with external partner regulations and standard requirements.
- Responsible for overseeing facility improvements and arrange for ongoing facility maintenance & repairs as needed.
- Responsible for the security of all facilities and units.
- Develop resident work teams, as needed, to assist with the maintenance needs of the facility and agency. Supervise resident work teams as assigned.
- Provide weekend "on-call" duty as needed.
- Must maintain a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Other duties as assigned.
This position will be based out of our headquarters located at 69 Grove Street, Worcester, MA 01605. All duties would be performed throughout the designated territory's surrounding cities and towns within the state.This is a full time position with full benefits (health, dental, vision, 403B, paid time off, short/long term disability and life insurance, etc.)

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in a related field. Comparable amounts of skill and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years experience in facility management.
- Must be skilled in facility maintenance.
- Experience in construction and general contracting preferred.
