The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for a wide range of tasks involving the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production and facility equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out a variety of tasks to install and maintain production machinery and facility equipment.
- Handle emergency repairs of production equipment during operations and perform scheduled maintenance during machine downtime.
- Rebuild Baird presses, eyelet machines, and equipment in the tool room.
- Perform tasks typical of a machinist.
- Read and interpret critical documents such as equipment logs, documentation, blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
- Conduct routine tests and qualifications on equipment and document the results.
- Report any suspicious or hazardous conditions to a supervisor immediately.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and ensure quality and safety by following all relevant CBI policies and procedures.
- Help maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and attention to detail.
- Perform basic welding.
- Carry out simple sheet metal fabrication tasks.
Experience:
- High School diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance
