Position: Maintenance Technician
Location: University Park, IL
Salary: $65K - $73K, based on experienceLocation: University Park, IL
Shift: 1st Shift, 6am - 3:30pm
- Oversee and complete maintenance and servicing of the facility and equipment.
- Coordinate and schedule external contractors.
Major Tasks and Duties:
- Complete contractor compliance and scheduled mechanical maintenance.
- Perform daily equipment and site inspections.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.
- Provide operational guidance to ensure equipment operates smoothly.
- Source external vendors and create purchase orders.
- Schedule contractors and ensure safety procedures (lock out/tag out).
- Support maintenance and tote repair.
- Delegate maintenance duties.
- Attend necessary training.
- Comply with hygiene, safety, and quality policies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, GMP’s, and HACCP requirements.
Knowledge/Skills & Experience:
- Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience in a food manufacturing setting.
- Millwright license or demonstrated experience and certifications.
- Ability to lift up to 25kg/50lbs and stand for long periods.
- Willing to work in a dusty and noisy environment.
- Certifications in Forklift, Reach Truck & Scissor Lift.
- Boiler experience.
