MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN JOB SUMMARY
Maintains equipment and performs repairs on equipment on a regular and as needed basis throughout the community in a manner consistent with the Montereau mission, vision and values.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
- Maintain equipment and perform repairs including plumbing, minor electrical, and HVAC in assigned residences and common areas.
- Order supplies and equipment as authorized by the Engineering Manager.
- Maintain materials, tools, and equipment in good working order.
- Maintain and keep updated records in the electronic work order system.
- Assist with testing and responding to fire alarms and emergency generator systems.
- Perform monthly maintenance checks of building, grounds and facilities. May assist inspectors and contractors in the testing, inspection, or repair of equipment, utility/emergency systems and structure.
- Assist with snow removal and salting to assure all walkways are passable and safe.
- Perform other related functions as required or as assigned.
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is required
- One years of general maintenance experience is preferred
- Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver's license and meets requirements on a motor vehicle record (MVR) check
- General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC
- Strong verbal communication skills in order to provide quality customer service
- Basic computer skills to utilize the electronic work order system via iPod or computer
- Ability to effectively interact with a diverse leadership team, staff, residents, and third party associates, including vendors, providers, and visitors
- An extensive amount of standing, walking, kneeling, bending at the waist, and reaching above the head and shoulders
- Ability to occasionally crouch and crawl in confined spaces and routinely climb ladders and stairs
- Ability to routinely lift and push up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequent use of ordinary communication, including normal levels of hearing and vision, including both near and far seeing, color discrimination, field of vision, and depth perception

Friday - Monday, 7:30am - 4:00pm
