Maintenance Technician - Ultimate Staffing Services

Our Client in the Monroe/Brownstown, MI is seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Tech to maintain properties in the Monroe/Brownstown, MI area. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of plumbing, construction, and electrical work, and may also work on exterior maintenance tasks such as painting, window replacement, and A/C condenser repairs.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting quality checks on HVAC, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Repairing HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Conduct building walk-throughs and measurements for potential locations
• Testing and recommending new maintenance products
• Coordinating deliveries from vendors and suppliers
• Documenting inspections and issues for safety concerns
• Performing landscaping, general maintenance, and pest control
• Managing an inventory of cleaning and repair supplies
• Training junior staff if applicable

Qualifications:

• Construction skills including carpentry, painting, and plumbing
• Must know how to use measuring devices (tape or laser)
• Able to work after hours and on weeks, in extreme circumstances
• Administrative skills for supply ordering, record-keeping, and maintenance scheduling
• Physical strength and dexterity to handle equipment
• Stamina for prolonged standing and walking
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for discussing maintenance issues
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures
• Organizational and time management skills

Experience:

• 3 years of building maintenance experience
