SUMMARY

The Maintenance Tech 1position is an hourly position, and reports to the Plant Engineering andMaintenance Supervisor.  The employeeperforms work setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery andequipment, as well as fabricating parts and tools.

Principal Duties andResponsibilities:

Completes work in electrical,electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair ofmachinery and equipment.

Diagnoses malfunctions inmachinery and equipment.

Completes work in dismantling,assembling, and installing industrial machinery.

Requisitions and track andupdate spare parts.

Modifies programming ofcontrollers and programmable controllers.

Ability to plan and performwork requiring basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and electronic theoryand principles.

Fabricate and /or modifiesequipment as required using machine tools, hand tools and electroniccomponents.

Other duties may be assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to read and interpretblueprints, schematics and piping and instrumentation drawings.

In depth knowledge ofmanufacturing, industrial maintenance, and industrial machine controlprinciples and practices.

Ability to maintain precisionmeasurements.

Strong knowledge of LTT,energy control procedures and safe working procedures.

PLC and AC/DC driveexperience.

Must have experience withfusing, thermal overload protection, wiring size, motor theory, pneumatics,hydraulics, and mechanical gear.

Must have knowledge of basicelectrical code.

Operate a computer, learn SAPand Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

SAP knowledge and experience

Ability to read and understandwritten and oral instructions.

Ability to work in a teamenvironment.

Ability to operate mobileequipment including forklift, scissor lift and other portable equipment.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

 Must be at least 18 years of age and pass drugscreen and employment physical.

Minimum of 3 years relatedindustrial experience industrial multi-craft maintenance or applicable militarytraining in Electrical Maintenance, Mechanical Maintenance, or other technicalareas.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

 Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.

While performing the duties ofthis job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and isexposed to fumes or airborne particles.

The noise level in the workenvironment is usually moderate.
