Maintenance Technician
Salary: $20 - $33.40 with the potential to earn $36.50 following the completion of maintenance course.
Shift Available:
2nd & 3rd Shift
Shift Differential:
2nd Shift (Sunday - Thursday) - $.75
3rd Shift (Tuesday - Saturday) - $1.00
$5,000 Sign on Bonus (in increments)

Primary Function:
Responsible for all aspects of Maintenance including but not limited to rotogravure printing presses, blown film extruders, slitters, bag making machinery and all ancillary equipment.
General Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair of a wide range of production machinery, building systems, HVAC and ancillary
- Test proper operation of electrical and mechanical systems in service to evaluate their fitness for continued service
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines
- Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
- Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
- Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
- Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide
- Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
- Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followed
Qualifications
- Must possess a strong Electrical aptitude.
- Ability to read electrical control schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Must have strong trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
- Leadership skills a plus
- Able to work with limited supervision
- Knowledge/experience in PLC’s is preferred.
- Computer skills desirable (will train)
- Good communication skills, good judgment and dedication
Requirements & skills
- Proven experience as maintenance technician
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
- High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desired
