Maintenance Technician - Expert Staffing

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with Welding experience in Stratford, CT.

This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities through effective maintenance and repair of equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding knowledge, handyman abilities, and the ability to work independently.

Schedule: 1st shift

Maintenance Technician Duties

• Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment including conveyor belts, shredders, balers, sorting machines, and other recycling machinery.
• Conduct regular checks for wear and tear, lubricate moving parts, and replace parts as necessary to minimize downtime.
• Maintain and repair facility infrastructure, including lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Read and interpret schematics to understand equipment layouts and systems.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules with minimal disruption to operations.
• Weld components as necessary for repairs or modifications.

Experience

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is required
• Previous experience working within a recycling facility preferred
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems effectively.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication within the team and across departments.
