Duties/Responsibilities Include
- Perform essential preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment, following established schedules to keep everything in top shape.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Use your mechanical skills to conduct repairs and replace defective parts, ensuring our operations run without a hitch.
- Ability to weld and operate a forklift.
- Collaborate with manufacturers, vendors, and contractors to secure technical support and parts, while also maintaining accurate maintenance records.
- Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment for you and your colleagues.
- Engage in initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability and efficiency, contributing to our overall success.
Requirements and Skills
- A solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, with the ability to read technical manuals and blueprints.
- Strong analytical abilities to troubleshoot issues effectively and implement solutions.
- A commitment to accuracy in both maintenance tasks and documentation.
- Willingness to adapt to varying shifts, including weekends and overtime, to support production needs.
- A strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; vocational training or certification in maintenance is a plus.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, and bend for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to use tools and perform tasks.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, kneel, crawl, twist the body, and reach in order to perform various maintenance tasks in tight or awkward spaces.
- Tolerance for working in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying weather conditions.
