Role Overview:
As a Maintenance Technician, you'll be a vital part of our on-site maintenance team. Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you'll assist with property upkeep, resident work orders, preventative maintenance, and apartment turnovers during move-ins and move-outs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Address resident service requests promptly and efficiently
2. Document service request updates, closures, and pending items in our property management software
3. Repair or replace in-unit and common area fixtures, including lights, filters, fans, and paint
4. Perform regular preventative maintenance in apartments and common areas
5. Collaborate with the maintenance team on property upkeep, including landscaping, trash removal, and cleaning
6. Identify and correct hazardous property conditions under the Service Manager's guidance
7. Prepare vacant apartments for new residents
8. Contribute to a management team culture focused on exceptional customer service
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in on-site maintenance operations
- Proven track record in customer service as part of a successful management team
- Ability to troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Familiarity with building operating systems (e.g., trash compactors, pool systems, boilers, ventilation)
- Skills in basic tile work, carpentry, and appliance repairs
- HVAC certification and Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred
- Required certifications/permits as mandated by local and state regulations
- Valid driver's license
