Maintenance Technician - Judge Group

Location: Reading, PA

Description: Our Client Is Currently Seeking A Maintenance Technician For It's Facility In Reading, PA. Previous Manufacturing Experience Is Needed. 


This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Performs set-ups and changeovers of all machines in accordance with schedule demands.
• Provide support to operations in running machines at centerline conditions, standard speeds etc. to maximize productivity. Maintain spares as needed to insure that equipment is available when required.
• This position troubleshoots processes and has the ability to diagnosis mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical issues associated with process equipment.
• Actively share their knowledge to train/mentor other team members, including both maintenance and operations to foster their development, including required safety training, control systems and troubleshooting capabilities as required.
• Job duties may also include fabricating parts, operating machining equipment such as lathes, grinders and welders.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High School Diploma and 5 years maintenance experience or Associate's degree and 3 years maintenance experience
• 3 years' experience with production machinery and equipment
• Able to manage and execute work assignments autonomously
• Ability to manage time and priorities to meet required deadlines
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers, machine interface programming, mechanical and electrical tools and instruments and their proper use.
• Thorough knowledge of food processing equipment and processes
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, SOPs, and manuals.
• Must understand and work from various documents such as blueprints, wiring diagrams, machine specifications, etc.
• Follow standard work to complete tasks.
• Support the Company's 5S program in an effort to maintain work area, equipment and supplies in a neat, organized manner.
