Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician - Ravenna, Ohio
Shift: 2nd or 3rd shift
The Opportunity:
Performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on electrical and mechanical systems involving production equipment and plant systems including PLCs.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure production machinery functions correctly and efficiently
- Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic, compressor, and vacuum systems
- Work on motors, and conveyors, AC/DC, PLC troubleshooting
- Will work with steam and boiler controls and mechanical power drives
- Perform predictive and preventative maintenance activities
- Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Complete Timely and accurate paperwork
What you need to succeed:
- Strong Electrical and Mechanical aptitude required with extensive troubleshooting experience
- Experience with Troubleshooting in a Production/Manufacturing Environment
- An operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery including motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial / electronic controls and power transmission systems
- Ability to install and set up both A/C and D/C drives
- Able to install and troubleshoot basic 3 phase motor control circuits
- Knowledge of the various types of sensors and limit switches
- A good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- PLC troubleshooting and problem-solving ability preferred
- Must be able to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings
- Must be fully computer literate with Microsoft environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a mature and professional manner
- Ability to work weekends & overtime
- Basic mathematical skills and basic technology/computer skills
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Military training and/or Technical School preferred
- Corrugated background is a plus, but not required
