SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of work in the general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, and equipment. Performs related duties as assigned.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in general maintenance and preventative maintenance of all facility needs to include electrical, mechanical, machine and plumbing.
- Performs any general maintenance activities as requested by the Maintenance Manager.
- Completes special projects as requested by management.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifying any safety issues, reporting to maintenance manager, and the correction of those issues
- Assist in development and execution of scheduled building and machine maintenance
- Because of the changing nature of our business, this job description will inevitably change. The employee will, from time to time, be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within his/her capabilities as directed by management.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Basic knowledge of the following trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical wiring
- Maintenance of hand tools and gas-powered equipment.
- Effectively use a variety of hand and power tools.
- Able to perform a variety of physical labor including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for long periods of time.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment, including standing on a cement floor for extended periods of time. May require lifting of up to 50 pounds.
