About the Job
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Investigate electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues causing equipment stoppages or safety risks, and report findings to the Maintenance Manager/Shift Supervisor.
Conduct e/m machine analyses to maintain product quality and implement corrective actions.
Investigate machine-related issues and facility equipment failures promptly.
Maintain regular communication with the Maintenance Manager to address plant-related machine opportunities.
Purchase and request necessary parts and equipment for the facility, including cost justifications.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Requirements:
- HS diploma or GED required
- 5 years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent training.
- Experience in plastic/foam extrusion and thermoforming is a plus.
- Strong electro-mechanical skill set, including knowledge of Thermoformers, extruders, electrical distribution, and vacuum systems.
- Proficiency with electronic controls including PLCs, servo motors, and VFDs.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Must be able to occasionally climb platforms or ladders, lift up to 35 pounds, and work 12-hour shifts.
- Work in proximity to open flames.
