Eurecat provides refineries, gas processing facilities, petrochemical and chemical plants with a wide variety of catalyst processing services and products including, but not limited to: regeneration and/or reactivation of spent catalysts, pre-activation (ex-situ sulfiding) of fresh hydroprocessing catalysts, catalyst inventory management and waste management.
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will work for our Maintenance department at the Eurecat Plant in Pasadena, Texas. The ideal candidate will be able to repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the mechanical performance and repair of one or more automated production machines or equipment that perform one or more functions in the processing of catalyst at the Eurecat Plant.
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical equipment and facilities.
- Must be mechanically and technically sound and possess the ability to dismantle devices to gain access and remove and replace defective parts as needed.
- Must be able to examine parts to detect imperfections and troubleshoot for problems.
- Perform preventive maintenance duties that detect early signs of failure or mis-adjustment.
- Conducts routine equipment maintenance tests.
- Ability to weld structure and pipe; carbon and SS.
- Promotes an organized and clean working environment.
- Cleans and maintains tools and equipment on a daily basis.
- Starts devices to test their performance.
- Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to repair parts.
- Schedules daily maintenance tasks depending on received work order forms, emergencies, preventative activities; and other tasks assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.
- Ability to work overtime as needed, and during scheduled work outages.
- Works closely with Production team, sub-contractors, and I&E Maintenance Technicians as needed to troubleshoot and resolve issues, and to ensure machines are production ready.
- Read, interpret and work from machine design drawings, specifications and handbooks.
- Comply with all Eurecat Safety policies and procedures, and work to promote a safe working environment on a daily basis.
- Ability to operate a forklift or man-lift as needed.

Travel:
This position will require no travel. The Maintenance Tech will need to be available to work in a weekend on-call schedule rotation.

Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- High school diploma or degree from technical school preferred; or 2-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Individual must have experienced skills in troubleshooting, repair and operation of high speed production machinery.
- Must be willing to sign Eurecat Non-compete and Eurecat Patent & Trade Secret agreement upon first day of employment.
- Willing to work overtime and work on-call as scheduled according to the Maintenance on-call schedule

- Must 2-3 years of previous experience working as a Maintenance Technician or Millwright.
- Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and communication, and skills.
