About the Job
We are currently working with an Industrial Machinery & Equipment Manufacturer in Waukesha County looking for a Maintenance Technician.
Under general supervision, this individual installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, and physical structures for the manufacturing facilities. Must be able to follow blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings in performing these duties.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of machines, and tools, including their design, uses, repair and maintenance.
- Experience with CMMS and knowledge of preventative and routine maintenance of equipment.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and forklift operation.
- Basic understanding of HVAC.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical machine repair along with crane and lifting device repair.
- Able to work overtime and/or including weekends as production schedules dictate.
- Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to maintain a clean driving history.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required and 3 or more years of experience or related technical education.
Working Conditions:
- Able to perform work in a non-climate-controlled metal manufacturing production environment.
- Requires (Near, Far, Depth and Color) vision.
- Must be able to work in an environment with noise(With 25decibal ear plugs in) at 75 decibels.
- Must be able to be on his/her feet, on concrete, for 90% of their shift and be able to walk up to 75% of that 90%.
- A maintenance employee must be able to climb 13ft by way of 12inch rung ladders.
- Must be able to lift, push, and or pull up to 40lbs and carry that weight 5ft.
Wage is $30-35/hour DOE
