Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This individual will be responsible for maintaining the electrical, plumbing, and overall physical condition of our residential buildings. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to providing a safe, functional, and comfortable living environment for our tenants.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Conduct inspections of property infrastructure to identify and resolve issues.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders from tenants and management.
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, appliance repairs, and minor building repairs.
- Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and safety of common areas, exteriors, and grounds.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory.
- Coordinate with external contractors for larger projects when necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in a residential or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Basic carpentry, painting, and appliance repair skills.
- Familiarity with safety standards, building codes, and best practices.
- OSHA Certification (10-hour or 30-hour) or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
- Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between properties.
- Technical certifications in plumbing, electrical, or HVAC are strongly preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, work in tight spaces, and operate maintenance tools and equipment safely.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; advanced technical training is a plus.
