Maintenance Technician

Victory Park – Lincoln, NE

Burlington Capital Properties is accepting applications for a qualified Maintenance Technician to serve our Victory Park Veterans Residences in Lincoln, Nebraska.  This is a unique community serving local military veterans by providing housing and Veterans’ Administration services.  We are considering individuals who take pride and ownership in the work they perform, and can provide friendly, quality service for our residents.  

This full-time position, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.  Availability on evenings and weekends for on call maintenance required.

JOB DUTIES

• Perform all interior and exterior repairs to maintain apartments, common areas, buildings and grounds according to established procedures.
• Perform maintenance repairs to include heating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, carpentry and floor coverings
• Complete preventative maintenance throughout the complex
• Regularly communicate with supervisor as to status of service requests, make ready units, etc.
• Complete vacant units to make ready status per established procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times
• Follow safety and liability guidelines
• Participate in resident functions as requested by Management.
• Required to be “on call” for emergency maintenance after hours as directed by management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record required.
• 2 years’ experience in maintenance or equivalent field required.
• Working knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general building trades is required.
• Ability to follow directives and work with minimum supervision.
• Must have basic understanding of the English language and be able to communicate effectively.
• Ability to interact positively with residents, employees, vendors and the general public.
